People often ask why we started making stickers, and the answer is pretty simple: life is expensive.
Like many families, we're constantly juggling bills, schedules, and the never-ending costs that come with raising kids. Between sports fees, tournament weekends, team gear, travel expenses, fundraisers, and everything else that comes with having kids in sports, it can feel like a full-time job just keeping up. We wanted to find something we could build together as a family while helping support the activities our kids love.
That's how Tacoma Sticker Co was born.
This isn't our first experience with stickers. A few years ago, we made some simple witch-themed stickers, but this time we decided to start from scratch and create designs that truly felt like us. Instead of following trends, we focus on things we actually see, hear, and experience every day.
If you've spent any time in Washington, you know there's no shortage of inspiration.
From ferry frustrations and I-5 traffic to rainy camping trips and coffee-fueled mornings, our Pacific Northwest collection is inspired by the things we all experience. We create stickers about the places we love, the things that make us laugh, and the everyday struggles that every Washington resident understands.
We've called Tacoma home, but we've lived and traveled throughout Washington, from Bellingham to Tacoma and plenty of places in between. We've also traveled across much of the country, which has made us appreciate just how unique the Pacific Northwest really is.
But our stickers aren't just about Washington.
As sports parents, we spend a lot of our time sitting in gym bleachers, driving to practices, waking up before sunrise for tournaments, and spending entire weekends at fields, courts, and arenas. If you're a sports parent, you already know the lifestyle. The early mornings, the endless snacks, the folding chairs, the weather, the travel, and somehow always needing one more piece of expensive equipment.
So naturally, we started making stickers about that too.
Many of our sports-themed designs are inspired by the funny things sports parents deal with every season. They're meant to make people laugh because sometimes all you can do is laugh when you're drinking your third coffee of the day while spending another weekend at a tournament.
The truth is, we make the kinds of stickers we'd want to buy ourselves.
